Why is community service important for students?

Community service plays a vital role in sensitising the students/children right from their childhood.

Most of our school students are the privileged ones, having access to get their needs fulfilled without even anticipating it. On the contrast, there exists another community where even basic needs of the people including children are seldom met on daily basis. Community services provides an opportunity for the privileged ones to empathise with these children, understand the harsh realities of life and hereby, intermingle with them, help them and most importantly, treat them with respect and dignity.

(Uday Foundation’s Study centre and Reading room is located in Sarvodaya Enclave (South Delhi) with children visiting us from nearby slums and underprevileged areas. )

How School Students can do community service with us?

School students can actively participate in community services by means of Direct interaction with the underprivileged children as well as through reaching out to them in the field.

Students will cherish the community service and will feel more satisfied and contented by bringing smiles and happiness to the children who are not so privileged like them.

We provide Internship Certificate to each and every child for community service and motivate them personally about the importance of community service in life ahead.

Students can conduct a collection drive in the school to collect old clothes, toys, books and they can accompany us during the distribution drive for the same..
