Our Stories on Wheels visited residence of Indian Top ranking Cricketer and Cancer Survivor Yuvraj Singh to collect Toys and Books for Children suffering from Cancer.
Yuvraj shared his experience that how isolated he felt during his hospital stay and very well imagine what a little child goes through while spending time in hospital’s bed, Yuvi promised to be a part of all our future activities and soon he will send van full of goodies and fun stuff for our hospital kids.
What pained Yuvraj most is the awareness about the Cancer in general public, He said we have to aware more people that cancer does not spread to others as isn’t in any way contagious and today it doesn’t make him feel bad when people ask him this question again and again; if more people sought information, there wouldn’t be so much ignorance about cancer.
He spend almost an hours with all the kids and volunteers of the foundation, narrated stories, shared jokes and really made a memorable evening for every one.
Flagged off by Chief Minister of Delhi, Ms Sheila Dixit last month, our Stories on Wheels for Kids in the Hospitals, visits various hospitals of Delhi, from Monday to Thursday and every Friday and Saturday van collects books, toys and other material from different Schools, institutes and kind hearted members of our society.
